At approximately 7:33 p.m., a 911 call came into the El Paso County regional communications center where the reporting party stated there had been shots fired in a residence in the 10000 block of Abrams Drive in Lorson Ranch.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and located three adults- two males and one female. The two adult males both had life-threatening gunshot wounds. The adult female was unharmed.

Deputies attempted life-saving measures, unfortunately, one adult male succumbed to his injuries, and the other was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. His current condition is unknown at this time.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Security Fire Department for their assistance on this call.

This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

This is an active- ongoing investigation. The name of the deceased male will be released after identification is made by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.
