On November 16, 2018, at approximately 4:14 AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a shooting victim that was transported to a local hospital.  The victim stated he was shot by a suspect identified as Albert Leckenby, DOB: 081871 during a verbal argument in the area of I-25, near the Ray Nixon Power Plant.

Mr. Leckenby was located at his residence in the 8100 Block of Piute Road and taken into custody without incident.  A follow-up search of the area of I-25 between MM119 and MM125 was conducted by Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Fountain Police Department Officers and K9 Unit for additional evidence related to the investigation.

Mr. Leckenby was booked in the Criminal Justice Center Jail on the charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder and First Degree Assault.
