On June 1, 2016, at approximately 7:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a shooting in the 6200 block of South Calhan Road. Upon arrival deputies learned an argument between a father and daughter escalated to the point that the father pulled out a handgun and pointed it at his wife and daughter.
The father then directed the daughter to go to another room in the house to retrieve an additional firearm so they could "duel". A struggle ensued and a round was fired by the father. The daughter then fired a round in the direction of the father. No one was hit or injured during this incident.
As the wife and children fled the residence, the father then went to the shed to retrieve a shotgun and pointed it at his wife. She then grabbed the rifle, took the children to a neighbors house and called 911.
Robert Williams, DOB:02/06/78, was booked into the Criminal Justice Center on two counts of Felony Menacing, Prohibited Use of a Weapon and Child Abuse.
