On June 17, 2021, at approximately 4:12 PM, a deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office located a wanted suspect in the 900 block of Widefield Drive located in Unincorporated El Paso County.

The suspect, Justin Romero, DOB 12/17/1983, was a suspect in felony and misdemeanor crimes. He was given orders to surrender, and he refused.

The Tactical Support Unit arrived shortly thereafter and took over the situation.

After approximately 4 hours, he attempted to escape out of a window and was apprehended.

Romero has been booked into the El Paso County Jail and is charged with the following:
Violation of a Restraining Order,
Harassment, and
Felony Vehicular Eluding.
