On June 21, 2018, at approximately 5:18 am, a structure fire was reported at a mobile home in the Springs Mobile Home Community, located at 1095 Western Dr.  Members of the Cimarron Hills Fire Department responded and, after extinguishing the fire, discovered a deceased individual inside the residence.

The deceased has been identified as Judith Barton, who was 67 years of age.  We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Ms. Barton. 

The Colorado Springs Fire Department Investigators and El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Detective responded to the scene and continue to investigate the cause of the fire.  Information will be released as the investigation allows.
