The body of a deceased adult female was located on October 9, 2021, off Highway 83 and North Pinery Parkway, in Douglas County. The woman has preliminarily been identified by our detectives as a woman from an El Paso County Case.

The body was subsequently recovered by members of the Douglas County Search and Rescue. 

The Douglas County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased woman as 55-year-old Sara Bayard.  

Sara was reported missing to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office on July 4, 2021.

We would like to extend our sympathies to Sara's family and friends. 

The Douglas County Coroner’s office has yet to rule on cause and manner of death.
