The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit is seeking motivated individuals to join the ranks of this highly dedicated all-volunteer Unit.  Reserve Deputies are certified peace officers and provide vital support to the Sheriff’s Office by working in Patrol, Detentions, and special events throughout the county.  

The Unit will be hosting an open house on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 6:30 PM at the Office of the Sheriff, 27 E. Vermijo Avenue.   This event is open to all members of the community who have an interest in becoming a Reserve Deputy.  Members of the media are also welcome to attend.  Guests will have the opportunity to view a presentation on the Reserve Unit and speak with several members about their experiences in the Unit.

The proposed Academy is slated to begin in early November 2017.  More detailed information regarding the testing and academy process will be detailed during the presentation at the open house.

Applications are available on-line and should be mailed or delivered to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Personnel Office, 27 E. Vermijo Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.  Applications must be received no later than May 31, 2017, at 5:00 PM.
