El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal issued the following statement in honor of Thanksgiving: 

“This Thanksgiving, let us be grateful for the freedoms we hold dear—those made possible by the sacrifices of so many before us.

“My family and I are immensely grateful to our patriotic, steadfast community, which supports our military, first responders, and incredible El Paso County Sheriff's Office family. 

“May this holiday inspire us to cherish our freedoms and work to ensure they endure for future generations.

“With humble gratitude, let us celebrate the bountiful gifts we have received as a nation and pray for those around us who are facing hardships.
