El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal issued the following statement for Veterans Day, 2023:
“This Veterans Day, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office honors the tens of thousands of men and women who fought for and served our country over the years, including the many veterans who work for the citizens of El Paso County, in our Office.

When the freedoms we hold so dearly as Americans have been threatened, veterans were the first ones on the ground to protect us.

Millions of men and women have answered the call from the American Revolution to World Wars and the War on Terror.

On behalf of my Office, we thank you for your bravery, dedication, and sacrifice.”
