On Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at approximately12:45 AM, Deputies responded to a Domestic Violence call in the 5100 block of Harrington Drive. The reporting party and stated her younger sibling was still inside the residence and there were guns in the home.
When Deputies arrived on scene they were able to locate the sibling and get him out of the home safely.
Containment was set up and negotiations with the suspect began and continued for over four hours. The suspect was refusing to allow his wife to come outside. SWAT was paged out and took over containment from Patrol.
At approximately 5:13 AM, gunshots were heard from inside the residence and entry was made by SWAT. Inside they discovered the wife with a gunshot wound. The suspect then surrendered to SWAT without incident.
The suspect has been identified as Gregory Lorbiecki, DOB:04/18/74. He has been booked into the Criminal Justice Center on several charges to include First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, False Imprisonment and Assault. Lorbiecki's mug shot is attached to this Media Release.
His wife did succumb to her injuries and her identity will be released once the autopsy is complete.
The investigation is ongoing.
