The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the graduation ceremony for 16 deputies who have successfully completed the 19-2 Detentions Academy.  The graduation ceremony will be held today, August 16, 2019, 3:00 PM, at Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South.  

The deputies completed a Detentions Academy that was developed to prepare and equip them with the knowledge and tools to work in a jail environment.  This was accomplished through a comprehensive detention specific training program that included academic training, arrest control and firearms training.  Academy Instructors used modern training methods, technology, equipment and sites during their instruction. 

We encourage all to attend and help us celebrate the graduation of these 16 new detention deputies.
