On March 16, 2022, just before 3:00 AM, EPSO Patrol Division Deputies were alerted to the presence of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 700 block of Valley Street by an observant citizen. This is a dense commercial area in the Cimarron Hills district of unincorporated El Paso County. Upon arriving on scene Deputies determined fictitious license plates were attached to the vehicle and the vehicle itself was previously reported stolen.
The vehicle passenger immediately fled on foot upon deputy contact. He was captured after a short foot pursuit and was identified as Jose Galvan, DOB: 5-12-89. It was determined he was a wanted Felon and was later booked into the El Paso County Jail on this outstanding Felony warrant and for Resisting Arrest. His mug shot is attached to this media release.
The vehicle’s driver, identified as Jose Trujillo, DOB: 7-23-95, was detained without incident. He was later booked into the El Paso County Jail and was charged with Felony Motor Vehicle Theft. His mug shot is also attached to this media release.
