On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, neighborhoods throughout El Paso County are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. The event’s recurring theme is: “Give neighborhood crime and drugs a going away party.”
National Night Out design is to:
• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
• Support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts;
• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
• Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are engaged and fighting back.
Members of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will be traveling around El Paso County to attend neighborhood celebrations. Local neighborhoods will have block parties, cookouts, activities and more. Events are scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
