Nov 6, 2024 - 12:30pm

El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal issued the following statement after the passage of Proposition 130 in Colorado:

“I am pleased to see the passage of Proposition 130, the ‘Back the Blue’ initiative. Proposition 130 will help law enforcement hold criminals accountable, reduce victims, improve training and recruitment efforts, and ensure- when heroes lay down their lives in service to their community, their families have appropriate financial security, granting them a secure foundation to grieve and heal.

“Thank you to the Advance Colorado organization for championing this important initiative and to Colorado voters for supporting the men and women who serve selflessly as first responders and law enforcement across Colorado.”
