Colorado Springs, CO- Recently, Sheriff Joe Roybal, along with other leaders from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, met with Angela Stevens, the President of the Colorado Springs Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). They discussed current topics of interest, as well as current and future opportunities to collaborate to address issues of diversity, crime, and growth within the Pikes Peak region.
Since taking office in January 2023, Sheriff Roybal has actively participated in roundtable discussions and community-led meetings to build strong and lasting relationships with diverse members of our community and small business owners in El Paso County.
"I am grateful for the productive and positive conversation between my office and the NAACP, Colorado Springs Chapter. We as leaders in our community must come together and build on what we have in common. We share many of the same values, including safety, acceptance, and prosperity. Thank you to Angela and her team for this important collaboration. I look forward to continuing to work together so that families in the Pikes Peak region can flourish."
