The Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received an anonymous tip at approximately 12:21 AM, this morning stating the Mr. Garnier was seen at the Howard Johnson on South Nevada Avenue.  Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with Mr. Garnier, but he was unwilling to exit the motel.  After several attempts to get him to come out, the Sheriff's Office called and requested K-9 assistance from the Colorado Springs Police Department.

At 4:20 AM this morning, Phillip Patrick Garnier was taken into custody without incident.  He will be booked into the Criminal Justice Center on the charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Failure to Comply with Probation.
