On September 22, 2018, between the hours 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM, a 1965 BMW race car valued at 150,000 and a trailer were stolen.  The rare vehicle was inside a 23’ white box trailer at the time both were stolen.

On Monday, September 24, 2018, El Paso County Detectives with the BATTLE (Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement) taskforce, located the stolen trailer and BMW at an address in the 5000 Block of Hopkins Dr. in Widefield.
