On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, around 10:30 AM, Alyxander Stephen Yawn DOB: 2/8/97, was at the Presbyterian Saint Luke Hospital in Denver with a Department of Youth Corrections Officer.  While in the examination room his restraints (handcuffs, leg restraints) were removed at the request of the Doctor.  He then went into the restroom.  After approximately 60 seconds, the Corrections Officer went to check on him and he was gone.  He had fled through the adjoining door which was unsecure.

The Denver Police Department was notified of his escape, but due to his sentence for Misdemeanor charges being out of El Paso County, the Sheriff’s Office issued a Warrant for his escape which is a Class 3 Misdemeanor.

Mr. Yawn was last seen wearing gray pants and a burgundy/purple short sleeve polo shirt.
