On Thursday, February 27, 2020, at approximately 03:42 AM, an off-duty officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) called our Communication Center through the 9-1-1 phone line.  The off-duty officer reported he was involved in a shooting in the drive-through of a fast food restaurant, located at the 1000 block of Space Center Drive. 

Deputies arrived and performed life saving measures on an unknown male; however, he succumbed to his injuries while on scene. 

We are asking anyone who may have been in the area of Powers Boulevard and Galley Road on February 27, 2020. between the hours of 3:30 AM - 4:00 AM, to call the Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 719-520-6666.

This is an active investigation and information will be released by the Public Information Office as the investigation allows.
