On Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 1:00 PM, the Sheriff's Office will present a 911 Hero Award to 10 year old Katelyn Clibon.  The presentation will be held at the El Paso/Teller County 911 building, located at 2350 Airport Road.

Brave. Trusting. Smart.  These are all words that have been used to describe 10 year old Katelyn Clibon for her actions on April 26th, 2017. 

On the night of April 26th, Katelyn found her mother unconscious and barely breathing.  She quickly called 911 and spoke with dispatcher Kimberly Abriam. Katelyn remained calm, providing her address and a description of her house to Kim.  Although Katelyn was very scared for her mom’s well being, she promptly followed all of Kim’s instructions until medical help arrived on scene.

We are so proud of Katelyn for her intelligence and her calm, quick thinking.  We would like to encourage all to attend and help us recognize her for her actions.
