Sheriff’s Office Identifies Suspect in Shooting on Spokane Way
On April 18, 2021, at approximately 5:03 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 4800 block of Spokane Way to investigate numerous gunshots heard by a caller.
Upon arrival, deputies found two people on scene each with a single gunshot wound. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, one succumbed to their injuries while at the hospital and the other had non-life-threatening injuries.
The name of the deceased will be released as soon as the coroner has made positive identification and the next of kin is notified.
The suspect has been identified as Kamrin Long (DOB: 03/29/2003). Long has been booked into the El Paso County Jail on the charge of First Degree Murder.
