On May 12, 2021, at approximately 6:04 PM, our Communications Center dispatched deputies to the 6000 block of South Johnson Road located in Rush, Colorado, on a Check the Welfare call.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies discovered a deceased adult male on the property. 

The name of the victim will not be released at this time pending identification by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office and notification of next of kin.

There is no known threat to the community. This is a continuing active investigation and information will be released as the investigation allows.
