The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deadly Force Incident Team (DFIT) is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred today at the Pine Creek Village Apartments in the 800 block of Chapman Dr. 

Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were executing an arrest warrant at the apartment complex when the incident occurred. A suspect was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.  No officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were injured.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is in the early stages of the investigation and is conducting interviews and collecting evidence.  This is an ongoing investigation and information will be released as the investigation allows.
