On Saturday, May 18, 2019, at approximately 5:30 PM, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a domestic disturbance at an address in the 4200 block of Forest Hill Road.  A male party barricaded himself inside the residence.   The Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) was activated and responded to the scene.  During the incident, multiple shots were fired.   
 
The male party succumbed to his injuries on scene.  No law enforcement personnel were injured.   There is no current threat to the community regarding this incident. 
 
The identity of the deceased male will not be released until the Coroner's Office makes positive identification and the next of kin is notified. 
 
In accordance with Colorado Revised Statute 16-2.5-301, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigative agency for this officer involved shooting.  This is an ongoing investigation and information will be released as the investigation allows.
