The Sheriff's Office is seeking investigative leads regarding two recent burglaries of the Sinclair Gas Station at 1949 Woodmoor Drive. This address is in unincorporated El Paso County in the Monument area.
On December 1, 2021, just before 1:30 AM, EPSO Patrol Division deputies discovered a smashed glass front door after responding to a business alarm. Approximately $7,000 in vape/e-cigarette retail products were stolen. Recovered surveillance video depicted a white or Hispanic male suspect wearing a black hoodie with "Centennial State Colorado 1876" imprinted on its front, black face mask, black sweatpants, and black slide sandals. His hands also appeared to be tattooed. An image of this suspect is attached to this media release and is labeled "12-1-2021". Then again, on December 7, 2021, at around 1:45 AM, EPSO Patrol Division deputies discovered a smashed glass front door after responding to a business alarm. Several low value retail products were stolen during this incident. Recovered surveillance video depicted an unknown race person approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build wearing a heavy brown Carhartt-style jacket, blue jeans, dark brown boots, two-tone white and black gloves, and a blue surgical mask. An image of this suspect is attached to this media release and is labeled "12-7-2021".
