On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at approximately 9:30 AM, a home was burglarized in the 8300 block of Chipita Park Road. A neighbor saw a newer red Jeep Cherokee fleeing the area driven by a White male in his mid to late 30's.
On Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at approximately 8:49 AM Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies were dispatched to an attempted burglary that just occurred in the 8900 block of Ute Rd. This address is in the same area as several other burglaries. The suspect attempted to enter the home and was spooked off after seeing the homeowner was home. The suspect left in a newer dark forest green Jeep Wrangler with a black top and black fenders. It is unknown if it was a 2D or 4D.
On Saturday, April 2, 2016, the Woodland Park Police Department took a burglary report similar to our burglary series occurring in the Chipita Park area. The manor and techniques are forced door, or window breaks, and homes are ransacked with electronics and firearms being targeted.
Similar photos of the stolen Jeep Commander bearing Colorado license plate 385-UIG and a green Jeep Wrangler are attached to this Media Release.
