On Thursday, December 15, 2016, a residence in the 6000 block of Passing Sky Dr. in Security was burglarized. The suspects made entry through a broken out basement window. They were captured on a “Ring Doorbell” video at 9:55 AM, approximately ten minutes prior to the motion sensor on the back window alerting the homeowner who was not home. Small electronics, jewelry, and sunglasses were stolen.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20’s, 5’7, 170, short dark hair in a military crew cut, baggy gray zip up hoodie, dark pants, carrying a black backpack.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic or light skinned Black male, 5’9, 170, dark colored hat, dark colored jacket, and baggy light gray sweat pants with drawstring, black sneakers.
In recent weeks, there have been a substantial number of residential burglaries in the Security and Widefield areas. They appear to be occurring during the daytime hours with windows broken out, or doors kicked in. In some cases, firearms have been stolen.
