On March 31, 2020, at approximately 8:57 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of Bison Drive, regarding a shooting.
When deputies arrived on scene, a gun-shot victim was located inside the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene and was later contacted by deputies on South Academy Boulevard. The suspect was suffering from several wounds and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Once released from the hospital, the suspect was booked into Spring Creek Youth Services Center on the following charges:
18-3-103 Murder in the Second Degree (Criminal Attempt), a class 3 Felony, one count
18-3-202 Assault in the First Degree, a class 3 Felony, one count
18-12-108 Possession of a Weapon by Previous Offender, a class 5 Felony, one count
18-12-108.5 Possession of Handgun by Juvenile, a class 2 Misdemeanor, one count
18-12-106 Prohibited Use of Weapons, a class 2 Misdemeanor, one count
Since the suspect is a juvenile, we will not be releasing any additional information on this case.
