On Monday, February 27, 2017, at approximately 1237 hours, a fire was reported in the area of Milne Road and Squirrel Creek Road. Several Fire Departments responded to the area and were able to get the fire contained after several hours.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigators responded and conducted an investigation of the fire. It was determined a wildland fire was started by sparks from a chimney. The fire has been determined an accidental fire and no criminal charges will be filed.
