Earlier this week the Colorado Springs Police Department released their report on the February 5, 2018, shooting which claimed the life of Detective Micah Flick, wounded three law enforcement officers and injured Thomas Villanueva.

Although the Colorado Springs Police Department was the lead agency, as part of the Deadly Force Investigations Team (DFIT), the Sheriff’s Office interviewed members of the Colorado Springs Police Department involved in this incident.

Attached you will find a portion of the reports/interviews conducted by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO).  The remainder of the reports/interviews taken by EPSO as they relate to this case will be provided sometime early next week as redactions are being completed.

The District Attorney’s Office has these reports and they were reviewed prior to the issuance of their report and findings.
