The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has received intelligence of another scam.  In these new cases the caller is informing victims that they are in trouble for missing jury duty and  need to pay a fine.  They are directing the caller to pay the fine at the Office of the Sheriff located at 27 East Vermijo Avenue. 

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind citizens that we NEVER call to ask for money, for any reason.   We DO NOT collect money for any government agency.  If you have information about or have fallen victim to this scam, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report.
