On May 22, 2020, at approximately 8:58 PM, two Teller County Sheriff's Office deputies encountered a male, near the intersection of County Road 94 and Teller County Road 32 (also known as Trail Creek Road), who matched the description of someone that was wanted for Felony Menacing.
The suspect presented a handgun and pointed it at the deputies. The deputies gave the suspect verbal commands and the suspect failed to comply with those commands. One deputy fired at least one round which struck the suspect. The suspect was transported to a local hospital with injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Robert Roland, DOB: 12/9/86. Once he is released from the hospital, he will be booked into the Teller County Jail on pending charges.
