On Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at 5:13 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding a disturbance at the 5100 block of Lanagan Street in Colorado Springs.  Responding officers encountered an armed suspect who was approaching them and shots were fired. 

The suspect, Dana Bruce Ott, DOB: 5/08/52, of Colorado Springs, has been formally charged with the following:

 Five Counts of Felony Menacing (F5)
 Domestic Violence

Ott is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital, guarded by El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies until he is medically cleared to be transported to the Criminal Justice Center.
