On March 4, 2019, at approximately 11:17 p.m.  Deputies observed a Blue BMW, with no visible registration, pull into the Super 8 Motel located at 605 Peterson Road.  As deputies initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of the motel, the driver of the vehicle drove into the deputy’s patrol vehicle. The Deputies pursued driver until he was successfully apprehended near Colorado and 31st Street.   

The driver has been identified as Daniel Boutin, DOB: 02/17/86.  Boutin was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  He was booked into the Criminal Justice Center Jail on First Degree Assault on a Peace Officer, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Felony Eluding and other traffic charges related to the pursuit.  There were two Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles that received minor damage.  No deputies were injured.
