On August 25, 2020, at approximately 9:49 PM hours, deputies were dispatched to the 6900 Caballero Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies located an individual in the driveway of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound.  Deputies immediately rendered aid to the victim until medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

The juvenile suspect fled the scene and efforts to locate him continued throughout the night and into this morning.

This afternoon the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.  He will be facing Criminal Attempt Murder 1 and Prohibited Use of a Weapon charges. Due to the suspect being a juvenile, no additional information will be released.
