On Sunday, September 11, 2016, at approximately 7:15 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the area of Fontaine Boulevard and Weeping Willow Drive regarding two men fighting in a cab. It was reported the cab driver had been attacked and stabbed by the suspect he was driving.
The investigation revealed as the suspect was choking the cab driver, he was also striking him in the head with the handle part of a knife. During the struggle the cab went off the road and struck a street sign. The cab driver and suspect both received minor injuries from the altercation. Once the vehicle came to a stop, the suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Deputies responded to the area to look for the suspect. Deputies found him walking towards the backyard of the 9400 block of Berrey Lane. Deputies gave several verbal commands for the suspect to stop, to which the suspect did not comply.
The suspect verbally challenged Deputies to fight him. The suspect then attacked a Deputy and a physical altercation ensued. Another Deputy came to the assistance of the first Deputy and the suspect was taken into custody. Both Deputies were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Radoslaw Szczepanski, DOB: 8/4/64. He was booked into the Criminal Justice Center on the following charges:

2nd Degree Assault on a Peace Officer
Robbery
Criminal Mischief
Reckless Endangerment
Theft
