On Sunday, October 21, 2018, deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of Hartford Street in reference to a shooting.  When deputies arrived on scene they were flagged down by the parents of the two-year-old.  The mother had the child in her arms.  Life saving measures were initiated and the child was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives arrived on scene and through the course of their investigation and processing the scene, the tragic death is not being considered a homicide.

The Coroner has identified the victim as two-year-old as Lohki Richard Bloom.  We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the friends and family of Lohki.  The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Coroner's Office once they have received all the information to make a ruling. 

The investigation is still ongoing and criminal charges are pending.
