At approximately 8:30 AM, on Sunday, December 20, 2015, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office received multiple 911 hang ups from a home in the 8000 black of Highway 24. Deputies responded to the scene to investigate and learned there were possibly two armed suspects inside the residence, with an unknown number of victims.
Four victims from inside the home, as well as three victims inside a detached garage were brought to safety and a suspect was transported to the hospital. SWAT cleared the residence and there was a second individual who was detained for questioning and released, as it was determined he was not involved.
After being cleared at the hospital, the suspect was interviewed and has been identified as Eli Carlos Hahn, DOB: 7/26/87. He is being booked into the Criminal Justice Center on charges of 1st Degree Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Felony Menacing, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Child Abuse.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating the possibility of additional suspects and following up on all leads. This is still an active investigation and updates will be given when possible.
