On Sunday, October 28, 2018, at approximately 1:00 PM, deputies responded to an area near Pikes Peak Barr Trail’s Golden Stairs in reference to an unidentified female who was found deceased on the side of the mountain.

The Coroner has identified the victim as Rebecca Maxfield, DOB: 05/22/87.  The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Coroner’s Office once they have received all the information to make a ruling.
