On March 31, 2023, at approximately 9:31 am, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from an adult female stating there was a shooting. The caller indicated a person was shot within a home located in the 6900 block of Sullivan Avenue which is located in the Security/Widefield area of unincorporated El Paso County.

Several deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to the location and found one adult male shooting victim. Deputies began life saving measures and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Brandon Bunyard.  Our sincere condolences to Brandon Bunyard’s family and friends.

The investigation conducted by El Paso County Sheriff’s Office personnel identified Luis Alfonso Dominguez, (24 years of age) as the suspect.   He was charged with First Degree Murder and is held without bond in the El Paso County Jail.
