Sheriff Bill Elder is proud to announce that the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is about to undergo a virtual-based assessment for law enforcement accreditation.

On Saturday, July 9, 2022, at approximately 9:16 P.M., Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers responded to a Domestic Violence incident at a residence in the 4200 block of Sanders View.  Upon arrival, they contacted an adult female who had obvious signs of injury.  
 

The Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy will begin on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. This Academy consists of two nights per week culminating in a graduation on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

On June 30, 2022, just after noon, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were notified of an in-progress trespass occurring at a property in the 6800 block of Swan Road in the Black Forest area of unincorporated El Paso County.  When they arrived, they identified the suspect as Quinten Hicke

On July 4, 2022, a male inmate in the El Paso County Jail died while in custody.

On July 3, 2022, a female inmate in the El Paso County Jail died while in custody.

On June 21, 2022, just before 7:00AM, EPSO Deputies responded to a home in the 2000 block of Mount Herman Road in unincorporated El Paso County after residents there reported a non-custodial parent of a child who was in their care forced her way into the home, menaced them and abducted the chil

On June 9, 2022, a female inmate in the El Paso County Jail died while in custody.

On June 10, 2022, at approximately 1:07 p.m., the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications center received information from a caller who reported finding a deceased male lying along a roadway in the 5200 block of Old Stage Road. This area is located in unincorporated El Paso County.

On May 29, 2022, at around 6:30 p.m., two citizens walked into the Manitou Springs Police Department with a bag that contained a partial human skull and other bone fragments.
