Congressman Doug Lamborn will be touring the El Paso County Jail, located at 2739 E. Las Vegas Street, at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.  He has a great interest in the El Paso County Jail, as it is housed right in his hometown. 

On January 17, 2020, at approximately 9:50 PM, an inmate in the El Paso County Jail died while in custody.  The inmate was housed in the medical section at the time, and passed despite immediate life saving measures by deputies, medical staff and first responders.

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, at approximately 11:57 PM, an officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Galley Road and Arrawanna Street.  The traffic stop was initiated due an expired license plate registration.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Rural Enforcement and Outreach Unit is seeking assistance in locating Daniel Beals.  He has strong ties to Eastern El Paso County in the Ellicott, Yoder, Rush, and Calhan area.  Beals is wanted on multiple warrants to include Felony Menacing and Domestic Viol

On January 03, 2020, at approximately 8:10 PM, the Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a call regarding a robbery in the 18700 block of Birdseye View.  The reporting party stated the suspects were armed and there were five children in the home.
