On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Rural Enforcement and Outreach Unit (REO) executed a search warrant in the 23000 block of McDaniel’s Road, as part of an ongoing animal neglect investigation.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at approximately 4:27 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a disturbance in the 2500 block of Hancock Expressway.  Upon arrival, officers observed smoke coming from the suspects apartment.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Knox has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was sponsored by Paula Rayer of Peyton, Colorado in memory of her mother, Lynn D.
