The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Wildland Team is diligently working with our local municipality leaders and county agencies to coordinate fire mitigation efforts and hazard fuel reduction throughout the county.  

On Sunday, October 7, 2018, at approximately 11:02 PM, the Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call from the 6400 block of Tranters Creek Way saying multiple shots were fired and a male party was lying on the sidewalk.

On October 9, 2018, at approximately 7:14 AM, deputies were dispatched to 10400 block of Mount Wilson Place in reference to a shooting.  Upon arriving on scene deputies discovered a deceased adult female inside residence.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Taz has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.

On October 9, 2018, at approximately 2:39 PM, deputies attempted to contact Jerrell Evans, DOB 03/21/82, at an address in the 80 block of McBurney Boulevard in Security.  Mr. Evans was wanted on several misdemeanor charges including a Felony Menacing Domestic Violence summons.

On October 9, 2018, at approximately 7:14 AM, deputies were dispatched to 10400 block of Mount Wilson Place in reference to a shooting.  Upon arriving on scene deputies discovered a deceased adult female inside residence.

On October 8, 2018, the Metro Vice Narcotics and Intelligence Unit (Metro VNI) obtained a Search Warrant for an address in the 400 block of Kiva Drive and two Arrest Warrants.  The warrants were part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
