On May 25, 2023, Daniel Garcia, a Deputy Sheriff with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
He is charged with Menacing and First Degree Official Misconduct.

At approximately 12:05 am, on May 20, 2023, a 76-year-old man died at a local hospital where he had been admitted on April 30, 2023, after the El Paso County Jail’s contracted medical staff sent the man to the hospital for treatment for a preexisting medical condition.

On Monday, April 10th, Braden Taylor, DOB 2/18/07, ran away from his home in the 17000 block of Prospector Dr. in Peyton, Colorado.
It is believed he was traveling to Denver, or Parker, Colorado. Braden was in contact with his family until recently.
