On September 10, 2024, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received a call from the U.S.

On September 14, 2024, at approximately 3:53 pm, a call came into the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center, where the reporting party stated there was a deceased individual located in a field in Midway Estates, near the intersection of El Hambre View and Rancho Colorado Boulevard

This week, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers (SROs) charged two students (both minors) from two separate schools for their participation in spreading false information regarding threats to schools locally and nationwide.

On September 11, 2024, at approximately 8:15 p.m., during a routine welfare check at the El Paso County Jail, deputies found an adult male unresponsive in his cell.

Evidence found during a search of the cell suggests the person in custody had attempted to take his own life.

Today, Sheriff Joseph Roybal announced changes to service fees for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Civil Unit beginning October 15, 2024.
