On February 21, 2020, the Metro Crime Lab returned to Gannon's home as a part of our ongoing investigation into his disappearance.
The investigation continues to progress with multiple agencies working to bring Gannon home.
On January 9, 2020, El Paso County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher Mindy Belger, answered a 9-1-1 call from 12 year old Andrew Gravil. He proved to everyone he knows how to handle himself when faced with a traumatic event.
The Spring Citizens' Academy will begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 and will be held on Tuesday evenings, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Academy will be conducted over a 10 week period, culminating in a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

On January 27, 2020, the Sheriff's Office took a report for a juvenile runaway, eleven year old Gannon Stauch. He was last seen on January 27th, 2020, in his home by his step-mother between 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM, he resides in the 6000 block of Mandan Drive, Security, Colorado.
On January 24, 2020 at approximately 8:48 PM, our Communication Center dispatched deputies to a Business Alarm check at the 2200 block of Waynoka Road.
Colorado Puffer Awareness and Enforcement Week will begin on January 26, 2020 and run through February 1, 2020.
EPSO Press Release: On January 17, 2020, at approximately 9:50 PM, an inmate in the El Paso County Jail died while in custody. The inmate was housed in the medical section at the time, and passed despite immediate life saving measures by deputies, medical staff and first responders.

On January 22, 2020 at approximately 6:29 AM, the Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a call regarding a person threatening parties while inflicting self-harm in a motel room. This incident occurred in the 600 block of Peterson Road.
