Today marks four weeks since Gannon went missing.

 On February 21, 2020, the Metro Crime Lab returned to Gannon's home as a part of our ongoing investigation into his disappearance. 

The investigation continues to progress with multiple agencies working to bring Gannon home.

On January 9, 2020, El Paso County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher Mindy Belger, answered a 9-1-1 call from 12 year old Andrew Gravil.  He proved to everyone he knows how to handle himself when faced with a traumatic event.

The Spring Citizens' Academy will begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 and will be held on Tuesday evenings, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  The Academy will be conducted over a 10 week period, culminating in a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the disappearance of Gannon Stauch.  The absence of information provided to the public does not mean the investigation has slowed down.

On February 15, 2020, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and partners continued to search specific areas and we have over 100 trained individuals and specialized assets to include Search and Rescue, Mounted and K-9's, assisting in today's search efforts.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the disappearance of Gannon Stauch.  To date there have been 385 tips received, 2,656 hours of investigative work done by Sheriff’s Office in this case and over 3,600 staff hours put into the search efforts.

On February 6, 2020, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and partners continued our search focused in the area of Lorson Ranch.  Over 100 volunteer partners, 4 of our Mounted Unit members, and 3 Search and Rescue canines assisted in today's search efforts.

The Sheriff's Office has received a report of another phone scam.  The caller threatened if the victims did not pay and if they did not return their phone calls, legal action would be taken against them.  In these most recent cases, they are using the name of actual employees of the Sheriff's O

On January 27, 2020, the Sheriff's Office took a report for a juvenile runaway, eleven year old Gannon Stauch. He was last seen on January 27th, 2020, in his home by his step-mother between 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM, he resides in the 6000 block of Mandan Drive, Security, Colorado. 

On January 24, 2020 at approximately 8:48 PM, our Communication Center dispatched deputies to a Business Alarm check at the 2200 block of Waynoka Road. 

Colorado Puffer Awareness and Enforcement Week will begin on January 26, 2020 and run through February 1, 2020.

EPSO Press Release: On January 17, 2020, at approximately 9:50 PM, an inmate in the El Paso County Jail died while in custody.  The inmate was housed in the medical section at the time, and passed despite immediate life saving measures by deputies, medical staff and first responders.

On January 21, 2020 at approximately 10:10 AM, our Communication Center received a 911 call in reference to a robbery at the 100 block of Fontaine Blvd.

On January 22, 2020 at approximately 6:29 AM, the Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a call regarding a person threatening parties while inflicting self-harm in a motel room.  This incident occurred in the 600 block of Peterson Road.

Congressman Doug Lamborn will be touring the El Paso County Jail, located at 2739 E. Las Vegas Street, at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.  He has a great interest in the El Paso County Jail, as it is housed right in his hometown.
