Sheriff Roybal Announces Changes in Civil Unit Fee Schedule

Today, Sheriff Joseph Roybal announced changes to service fees for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Civil Unit beginning October 15, 2024.

The Civil Unit provides a multitude of services, such as evictions, notices and summons, and payment demands. The fee schedule for services was last updated in July 2010.

“As the duly elected Sheriff, it is my duty to utilize taxpayer dollars best and provide high-quality and essential emergency services,” said Sheriff Joseph Roybal. “To better serve the community, updating the civil fee structure was necessary. This adjustment will help us align more accurately with (estimated) actual service costs and place the fiscal responsibility on our customers, therefore reducing the liability of taxpayers.”

Each updated fee was carefully considered and accurately reflects Colorado statutory fee requirements and restrictions.

Attached you will find the Fee Schedule Chart, which has been accessible on our office’s website but now reflects the updates made.
