Three Arrests Made in B Street Shooting Investigation

On May 11, 2025, at approximately 8:06 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a shooting at the Hampton Village Apartments, in the Stratmoor Hills area of unincorporated El Paso County. Witnesses described an argument between several males outside the complex, followed by the sound of gunfire.

Deputies arrived on the scene and located an adult male with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office Investigation’s Division took over the case and identified three suspects. On May 16, investigators executed multiple search warrants related to the shooting.

As a result of the investigation, 38-year-old Nicholas Madrid Sr., 24-year-old Isaiah Marquez-Lobato, and a juvenile male were arrested.

All three face charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder and First-Degree Assault. Madrid and Marquez-Lobato were booked into the El Paso County Jail, and each are held on $200,000 bond.
