Sheriff’s Office Deputies Investigating Shooting on Milburn Drive

This afternoon at approximately 1:27 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Regional Communications Center received multiple calls with reports of shots fired in the 4400 block of Milburn Dr. in unincorporated El Paso County.

When Patrol deputies arrived, they found one deceased adult male and one critically injured adult female. The female was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive their injuries.

One person at the scene was detained for questioning. At this time, no one has been criminally charged.

All persons involved in the incident have been accounted for, and there is no known danger to the community.

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office will release the identification of the deceased and the manner of death when it is appropriate.

This investigation is in the early stages, and law enforcement presence is expected to be in the area through the evening hours.
